Post-Ceremony Hoopla is ON
Happy to announce that this year's Post-Ceremony Hoopla location is set to commence immediately following this year's Awards Ceremony on Saturday, October 11th. It was harder to find a place in Evanston, because we're unfamiliar with what happens where up there, but Union Pizzeria has kindly agreed to stay open (past the usual 11pm closing time) until 1:30am, just to serve drinks and snacks to a bunch of gussied-up radio producers from around the country.
Can't promise the over-the-top dance party like last year's at Stop Smiling Magazine HQ, but Union will be a great place to continue the evening's celebration, buy your new best friend a drink (or a pizza) and squeeze in a few more hours of togetherness before everyone splits on Sunday. Plus, it's just a few blocks beyond the Music Institute of Chicago, where the Awards Ceremony will take place. Keep an eye out for a mass migration over to Union after Champagne Reception winds down, probably around 11pm. And if a spontaneous dance party breaks out once we reach a critical mass, maybe around midnight...all the better.
